Jackson Workbench : Batch Conversion

Introduction

The Jackson Workbench incorporates a generic code-generation module which can potentially convert any JSP structure into any programming language. This model has been proven for most of the mainstream programming languages in use today, and is used by each of the components of the Jackson Workbench. However in addition the power of the code generator can be accessed directly using one of two interfaces :-

• A command-line interface (for incorporation into user scripts)
• A graphical interface allowing user-friendly access to batch features

Both tools provide additional facilities for verifying and validating converted files. These include :-

• A built-in diff facility for comparing converted files with those in another location
• A lexical comparison facility for comparing converted COBOL files purely in terms of lexical content
• Optional compiler integration, for automatically compiling converted output
